Cinnamon Sugar Apple Cider Cake

This Cinnamon Sugar Apple Cider Cake was one of the first fall treats introduced in my bakery and it was such a huge hit! The cake remains incredibly moist due to the applesauce! It’s perfect for snacking on after a full day of apple picking if you ask me!

Cinnamon Sugar Apple Cider Cake

Ingredients

• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 1/4 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 tsp. cloves
• 1 tsp. allspice
• 1/4 tsp. ginger
• 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 3/4 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup apple cider
• 1 1/2 cups applesauce
• 2 eggs
• 1 TB. vanilla

For the Frosting

• 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
• 1/4 cup melted butter, salted
• 1 TB. vanilla
• 1-2 TB. water
• cinnamon sugar for sprinkling on top of cake

Instructions

For the cake

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a bowl mix together your dry ingredients. Set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together your wet ingredients.
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until mixed.
5. Spray a bundt pan generously. Pour batter into pan.
6. Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until done. Let cake cool COMPLETELY before removing from bundt pan.
7. Once the cake is cool, make your frosting.
8. Whisk all frosting ingredients together and pour over bundt cake. Sprinkle cake generously with cinnamon sugar
