Strawberry Frosted Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

sugar cookie dough

• 1 cup salted butter, softened to room temperature
• 200 grams sugar
• 1 egg, room temperature
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• 1 tsp. almond extract
• 375 grams flour
• 1/4-1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 1/2 cup sugar for rolling cookie dough in

Strawberry Frosting

• 2 stciks salted butter, room temp
• 1 bag or 16 oz Whipzi Strawberry Flavored Powdered Sugar
• 1-2 TB. heavy cream

Instructions

For the sugar cookie dough

1. In a stand mixer, mix butters and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
2. Next add in egg and almond and vanilla extract. Mix until combined. About 1 minute.
3. Once that is incorporated, mix in flour, salt, and baking soda. Don't over mix.
4. Roll cookie dough into balls and roll those into sugar.
5. Using a small cup or measuring cup, press down cookies into a flatter disk. You don't want them too flat, just about 1/4 inch.
6. Refrigerate cookie dough covered, for at least an hour or two.
7. Once ready to bake, bake dough at 350 degrees for 10-11 minutes. Let cool completely before frosting.

For the strawberry frosting

1. In a mixing bowl, add your butter and beat until light and fluffy. This will take about 3 minutes.
2. Next add in your powdered sugar and heavy cream. Beat together until light and fluffy.
3. Decorate cooled cookies with frosting, and store any leftover frosting in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week
