Chocolate Muddy Buddies

If there is one treat we have on our house on a consistent basis its Muddy Buddies. We make them ALL THE TIME. There isn’t much to say about these treats except that they are addicting and you can’t stop eating them!

Chocolate Muddy Buddies

Ingredients

• 1 cup milk chocolate chips
• 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
• 1 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/4 cup salted butter
• 1 small box rice chex cereal
• 2-3 cups powdered sugar (I love using chocolate flavored powdered sugar by Whipzi for a stronger chocolate flavor)

Instructions

1. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the chocolate, peanut butter, and butter until fully melted. Stir everything together until combined and creamy.
2. In a large bowl add your chex cereal in batches. A little of chex cereal, then pour a little of the melted chocolate mixture, and repeat until the chex cereal is gone and there is not more chocolate mixture.
3. Gently stir everything together with a large metal spoon until cereal is fully coated in chocolate.
4. Add powdered sugar to the bowl, and continue to stir until the cereal is coated evenly with powdered sugar. I like to leave big chunks of cereal in my mixture but you can break apart the cereal and separate the chunks too.
5. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
